Objectives:

 

1. To enrich the life of our Presbytery by creating quality faith nurturing camp, conference, and retreat opportunities.
2. To plan, promote, implement, and maintain effective camps, conferences, and retreats throughout Presbytery in collaboration with other Presbytery committees and congregations.
3. To develop policies, provide oversight and evaluation and serve as a mechanism for reporting to and being accountable to Presbytery.

              

Responsibilities:

 

1. Developing strategies for increased opportunities and participation in camps, conferences, and retreats throughout the presbytery.
2. In cooperation with other appropriate committees, evaluate the effectiveness of presbytery's camp, conference, and retreat experiences.
3. Through subcommittees and staff, oversee the administration of the day-to-day operation of the Bluestone Conference Center and any other similar facilities purchased, leased, or rented in the future.
4. Develop and implement, in collaboration with other committees, congregations and denominations, a comprehensive long-term plan for camps, conferences, and retreats.
5. Programming and personnel for the camping season.
6. To insure that the terms of all lease agreements, covenants, purchase agreements and rental contracts are successfully negotiated and appropriately fulfilled, the committee moderator along with one member of each class, the Executive Presbyter and the Financial Administrator/Treasurer shall constitute the Board of Bluestone Conference Center, Inc.
7. The committee moderator shall serve as President of Bluestone Conference Center, Inc., the Executive Presbyter shall serve as Vice President, and the Financial Administrator/Treasurer shall serve as Secretary/Treasurer of Bluestone Conference Center, Inc.

Meetings:

 Meets 6-8 times a year, beginning at 5:30 p.m. at the Presbytery office.  One of those meetings is held at the camp site at BCC during the Summer Program.
